The Spanish Peaks Arts Council (SPACe) is a non-profit community based organization dedicated to support of the arts and art education.

Description:
The SPACe Gallery displays original works of regional artists in a wide variety of media, in changing exhibits throughout the year. The Gift Shop offers arts and crafts created by members. Open Tues-Sat, May-Oct, 10 am - 3pm; Tues, Thurs, & Sat., 10 am - 2 pm Oct 15 - May 15.

Highlights:
Annual July 4 Art in the Park, Children's Art Workshop in the park, & Annual Working Cowboy Artists Gear & Fine Art Show & Events in Sept.

Directions:
Exit I-25 at Walsenburg. West on Hwy 160 to Hwy 12. Hwy 12 to La Veta. Right on Ryus Ave to the end of the block. Gallery is on the north side.

Local artists represented by The Gallery include: Marge Bradley, Rebecca Busch, J. Burke-Sheehan, Janet Crawford, Ann Gethen, Kathy Hill, Billy McCoy, Pat Newell, and Vern Story. Most exhibits are open to all artists and media.
